2 Questions about Bitcoin Energy Use Graphs
https://ift.tt/3eAzk5I
Hello! I just had a question, I was browsing Bitcoin energy consumption graphs and was wondering why there is such a jump in energy use following april/may of 2021. I read that China cracked down on many crypto miners during that time, but I don’t understand the explosion in energy use.

So, is there
1. Something I’ve am completely unaware of
2. Are the graphs false information and are there graphs that estimate energy consumption better
3. Something I haven’t considered
In addition, is it an impossible question if I asked about how much energy in terms of kWh or tWh Bitcoin mining uses up? I get that energy does not mean carbon emissions and not trying to look at it in a solely negative light, just curious,
Thanks!
