The influencer marketing company Buzzoole has launched the Avatar Gin project, the first limited edition collectible gin associated with an NFT.
Avatar Gin, 100 bottles in NFT format
Avatar Gin has been produced in just 100 bottles, and each one, in addition to having a brand new recipe, is uniquely associated with an NFT.
By scanning the QR Code found on the label of each physical bottle, it will be possible to request the corresponding collectible NFT created by OpenRegister.io. All Avatar Gin NFTs are visible on Buzzoole’s OpenSea profile at OpenSea.io/Buzzoole.
Gianluca Perrelli, CEO of Buzzoole, explained:
“With Avatar Gin, we started to explore a border territory between virtual and real, between collecting and crypto. This is a project that stems from my passion for Gin, which I share on my Instagram account @50shadesofgin, combined with the constant need for innovation that distinguishes Buzzoole. Experimenting with blockchain technology associated with Gin makes us believe in the infinite possibilities that will open up for brands and creators when Influencer marketing will be able to seize the opportunities of the future metaverse, made of an ever closer hybridization of physical and virtual realities.”
Avatar Gin is handcrafted using a discontinuous copper alembic and London dry method with steam passage. Each distillation takes about twelve hours, drop by drop, to extract all the essential oils of the botanicals placed on top of the alembic. Italian grain alcohol certified organic and kosher, and botanicals selected and dosed by the master distiller of the renowned company Cillario & Marazzi.
Enzo Mangrella, CEO of OpenRegister, explained:
“We enthusiastically welcomed Buzzoole’s proposal, giving our contribution to the creation of the NFTs for each bottle. We have studied an ad hoc process that allows customers to create their own wallet with simple steps and obtain the transfer of the NFT completely free of charge”.
Experiment on Polygon
As Mangrella explained, the NFT claim is free and transferred from the company to the user’s wallet, not using Ethereum but Polygon.
For the time being, this was an experiment aimed at testing the technology and marketing Cillario & Marazzi’s product for which the 100 bottles were given away and not offered for sale.
