Side channel attacks for private key on Cold Card: is password the best defense?

I skimmed this article about how someone used a side channel attack to extract private keys from a hard wallet (Trezor):

What are the risks that could succeed on a Cold Card? I have just a basic passphrase, because I feel I am more at risk of misplacing/forgetting it.

Would storing the passphrase (a more complex one) in like 1Password be safer as long as I kept the wallet physically secure?
