Welcome to Day 2 of the MonkeyLeague BootCamp Week on MonkeyBucks $MBS — the In-Game Currency! As discussed it’s been a whirlwind of a few months here on the MonkeyTrain, so we decided to hold a BootCamp Week to dive into, recap, and align the MonkeyTrain prior to the launch of Pioneers Gear-Up Camp. Yesterday, we started the week with an overview of the game and today we dive into the main in-game currency, MonkeyBucks $MBS, and how that impacts the various game elements.

The MonkeyLeague Economy:

In order to maintain a robust, balanced, and stable ecosystem, the game economy has been meticulously planned.

Players will purchase MonkeyBucks $MBS from the available exchanges and Monkey NFTs from available marketplaces, then connect that wallet to the game. Once live, you will also be able to buy, sell, or rent Monkey NFTs from the MonkeyLeague Marketplace.

Using your connected wallet you will be able to collect and purchase consumable in-game items for your Monkeys from the store — Nutritional items to boost their Stamina, Med Care items to restore their HP, and Energy to play matches. The $MBS revenue from the Store goes to the Treasury to pay for wins and rewards instead of just inflating the number of $MBS tokens out.

The consumable items enable you to play more matches, score more goals, and be at the top of your game, which means you earn more $MBS and XP, which increases your ranking, $MBS rewards, and the value of your NFT.

The in-game store will also sell Breeding Capsules for MonkeyBucks $MBS, so if you have two breedable Monkey NFTs and a Breeding Capsule, you will be able to breed future generations of MonkeyPlayers at a cost of $MBS, and either stack your team, sell or rent them in the MonkeyLeague Marketplace!

Overview of MonkeyBucks $MBS Utility

Pioneers Gear-Up — the first step inside the in-game Store:

As we discussed in yesterday’s article on the Game Overview, when you play you will spend Energy and Supplies in order to win $MBS, increase XP, and League Up. Pioneers Gear-Up Camp is a great opportunity for Monkey NFT holders and certain level of $MBS holders to start claiming FREE supply packs from the In-Game Store. Players will be able to stock these items in their inventory, giving these early MonkeyPioneers a massive advantage when matchplay launches!

In order to enable more people to participate in this early feature, we have opened Pioneers Gear Up to include certain $MBS holders as well. Details on the level of $MBS you must hold to be eligible to be released in the next week — stay tuned!

In-Game Store:

Shortly after Pioneers Gear-Up, the MonkeyBall In-Game Store will launch and MonkeyBucks MBS will be the only currency accepted. The first major sale from the MonkeyStore will be that of Breeding Capsules. Not long after, other base consumable items for matchplay such as Energy, Nutritional, and Health items will be available for purchase using MonkeyBucks only.

Aside from hosting Pioneers Gear Up Camp and the Capsules sale, the in-game store will be your go-to place for in-game consumable items such as Energy, Nutritional, and Med Care items. Playing matches will cost you Energy. You will receive free daily Energy but to play more you will need to purchase it from the in-game store using MonkeyBucks $MBS.

Breeding

One of the most exciting game features to be released prior to the game modes is Breeding Season! This is where users who have two breedable Monkey NFTs and a Breeding Capsule can start breeding future generations of MonkeyBall Monkey NFTs! For the action of Breeding, there will be a MonkeyBucks $MBS fee attached, so stay tuned as we release more details on the exact costs and details!

Playing & Winning Matches

Winnings from matches and missions will also come in the form of MonkeyBucks $MBS. The amount you win increases as you League-up and build up XP. Also, you will already be able to start earning in the Player vs Environment game mode!

Marketplace

Once the MonkeyLeague Marketplace launches, the main currency will be MonkeyBucks $MBS. The marketplace will be home to a range of MonkeyBall assets, including but not limited to Monkey NFTs, Stadiums, in-game gear, and more.
