Advice for Setting Up A Bitcoin Full Node

Hello Everyone.
I am in the process of setting up a Bitcoin full node and wish to
ask the Bitcoin community for advice on maintaining one.
I have chosen an HP Elitebook as my base computer,
Intel Core i5 for hardware-level AES encryption,
4 GB DDR3 RAM
10 TB External Hard Drive
ArchLinux Operating System
Just to let all of you know, I chose to make a Bitcoin Full Node
for the privacy benefits, including Information-Theoretic Privacy

and since running a Bitcoin full node will make me resistant
to the most well-known payment frauds with the exception

For Bitcoin users that have much more experience, what
constructive criticisms do you have behind the rationale
of why I am running a full node, how to maintain
a solid Bitcoin full node, and how to best protect your
privacy when spending and receiving Bitcoin using a
Bitcoin full node using the official Bitcoin Core software?
