Slovenia in 2022+ (No LONGER?) a Bitcoin tax heaven…(?!)

https://ift.tt/3ErMTi8

Hello, there are a couple of bitcoin “tax heavens” where you, under certain circumstances, dont pay ANY tax (zero tax) on your bitcoin/crypto… These in the past were mainly: Portugal, Malta, Slovenia, Germany (1 year hold), Switzerland, Belarussia, El Salvador, Singapore, Malaysia… Maybe few more, but AFAIK these were the main ones and mentioned over and over and over again in BTC tax heaven discussions…

Im talking here mainly about “basic” situation: You own crypto as an individual (not a company), you dont really trade it (at least not often or periodically, or profesionally) and you are looking to sell it.

BUT (!) Time goes on, and situation changes… AFAIK, SLOVENIA is (or SOON will be) NOT on the list anymore. Slovenia will no longer be a bitcoin tax heaven…(!?) since it will soon introduce 10% or rather 25% tax on btc…

And Other sources

The “chatter” started around summer i believe, now the law is written, and will be voted (has been voted on?) soon. On around this time (december 2021)…? The law will MOST LIKELY (afaik) be approved and will take affect from 1st of January 2021 onwards…

You can “choose” your tax:

1) Either 10% on TOTAL revenue (!) (without the possibility of applying ANY costs!) – example – you bought 100 000 USD worth of BTC, now your stash is worth 105 000 USD and you sell… You will have to pay 10% from the whole ammount (!)- from those 105 000 USD, NOT just the 5 000 USD you made as a profit (!)… That means 10% from 110 000 USD…

2) Or you can choose to pay tax only on the REAL ACTUAL profit you actually made (as it should have been(!)). That means you can apply the cost of the bought BTC… But in this case, meant mainly for traders i assume, you will have to pay 25% tax (!) :-D… That means from my example, you will have to pay 25% from the 5 000 USD profit you made…

My question is simple, aimed mainly for people “in the know” – Slovenians in crypto, or people currently living in Slovenia who are into crypto (in general – people that know or should know about it in more detail)…

1) Is this really true…?

2) Was the law already passed/aproved…? If not when it will be approved and when it will go into effect?

3) This all, in the end means that Slovenia is no longer a bitcoin tax heaven and the list just got shorter…?

Thank you
