* Run your own fullnode, it doesn’t even need to have port forwarding to receive crypto and keep a copy of the blockchain on your network. There are a few projects already existing that give you a full node in a linux image that can be verified. For the technically savvy – (FYI, virtualization of a fullnode and passing through an external drive to hold the blockchain is possible. You only need a portion of resources to run the software)

* Bitcoin is politics agnostic and should be treated like freedom of speech – and American impression of the 2nd amendment – no one should ever have the right over our hard earned money. There are more benefits to this technology than there are bad actors and governments will make laws that prevent the common people from having the benefits that the politicians and their donors will reap from the technology. They WILL use it for their own CONTROL over US if we the people do not regain control over them – government is a tool by the people, not the rich few. Keeping your money off of centralized exchanges prevents complete government control over something they have no domain over. Its in the code, an encroachment on the principles that go behind the crypto currency is akin to the evil governments do to topple power into their direction. Decentralizing exchange practices is what this was all intended to do.

* More adoption of decentralized practices means more people to trade with. It means putting less trust into the few and the corrupt. See what is happening right now – peoples lives are being ruined over policies and political games that have no benefit to the commons – rather all anything ever does is artificially impress us to believe it isn’t them who are sources of what makes the buying power of our labor worth less and less – sometimes by the day. Permitting corporations to deny us land and force us all to forever rent, to put profits over nutrition and the poisoning of our children for generations (mentally and physically). Starting wars and causing unrelenting struggling to people who don’t deserve it and media engines who rile things up to manufacture consent. This isn’t right and our money should no longer feed these broken and corrupt systems. We are beyond requiring centralized control to run societies. This isn’t the dark ages anymore, communication and education is prevalent. Much like when it was a luxury to read only priests had the right to sermon the bible, so will the corrupt few make us believe there is no separation of our wealth from the state.
