Can I import my Electrum wallet keys into a new Electrum wallet without sweeping?

Google has told me that importing from an old paper wallet can mess with the seed words for Electrum or something ( [Importing Vs Sweeping Private Keys; What you need to know. (bitcointalk.org)](https://ift.tt/txXq75S) ); but what if it’s one Electrum wallet to another? Will that also mess with the seeds, or can I safely import and forget?
