Patrick Duffy may be most famous for being part of the melodramatic fictional family who owned the Southfork Ranch in the TV series “Dallas.” But in real life, the actor is the proud and peaceful owner of a bucolic retreat on the Rogue River just outside of Medford, OR.
Now, after three decades, he’s looking to pass on his 383-acre property to the next generation of outdoor enthusiasts. It’s available for $14 million.
Known as Duffy Ranch, the massive spread sits on 2 miles of river and includes 14 parcels with seven homes.
The lodge-style primary residence is a real Pacific Northwest showpiece, with sturdy stone fireplaces, cozy wood paneling, beamed ceilings, and wood flooring that give it that solid, rustic charm.
There are four bedrooms and four baths in the 3,010-square-foot lodge. The layout includes loft-style rooms with balconies, the better to enjoy the pristine wilderness right outside.
The kitchen and the butler’s pantry are enough to attract professional chefs as well as home cooks from far and wide. Features such as a massive butcher block island, upscale appliances, glass-front cabinets, and a remarkable vintage stove make the cook space irresistible.
The riverfront property comes with a spa cabin, wine cave, pool house, large garden, and two guesthouses.
The property, which includes 100 acres of irrigated land and a 1-acre private lake, comes with a resident elk herd, wild turkeys, black-tailed deer, and many bird species.
Duffy, 73, was born in Montana and raised in Washington. He’s probably best known for playing Bobby Ewing on the primetime soap “Dallas.” He also starred in the sitcom “Step by Step,” the daytime soap “The Bold and the Beautiful,” and numerous TV movies and series.
The property is listed with Alan DeVries and Matthew Cook of Cascade Hasson Sotheby’s International Realty.
