The “Dog Whisperer” is also a real estate whiz.
Canine trainer Cesar Millan has quickly found a buyer for his $4 million Encino, CA, residence. The home is already under contract after just a few days on the market.
The 5,620-square-foot home, which Millan picked up in 2017 for $2,782,500, is remarkably free of pet hair and chew toys. Perhaps that’s because his four-legged clients congregate at his famed Dog Psychology Center, about 30 miles away in Santa Clarita.
Built in 2016, the modern farmhouse design combines up-to-date amenities and traditional styling. The main level is open and features wide-plank wood flooring, a living room with a fireplace and built-in cabinets, and an adjacent dining room. Pocket sliding doors open to a patio.
Also on this level, you’ll find a chef’s kitchen, family room, wine storage, office, and a bedroom suite.
Upstairs, the primary suite includes a walk-in closet and bath with a separate soaking tub. The remaining three bedrooms are also en suite. The upper level includes a deck, den, and laundry.
Outside, the backyard features a large lawn with plenty of room to play fetch. There’s a dining area with a barbecue, a saltwater pool, and a spa.
The gated property is close to Encino’s shops and restaurants.
The Emmy-nominated “Dog Whisperer with Cesar Millan,” which ran from 2004 –12, has been broadcast in 80 countries. Millan has also sold over 2 million books on the subject of pups. His latest series, “Better Human, Better Dog,” is streaming on National Geographic.
Previously, Millan owned a Studio City, CA, home, which he sold in 2017 for a little over $2 million.
Dutch Markgraf with Pinnacle Estate Properties represents the listing.
