Altcoins are on the verge of a massive rally as many of them are arriving late under the spotlight. Whilst shorts are apt to resume upward move, pleas are lauding for Santa clause rally ahead of  Christmas. Tuesday’s pitch for bull season uplifted the global market cap well above $2.28 trillion with 6.81% gains round the clock. However, the alt season remains intact with requisite corrections.

As shorts have been gradually depleting, we might get to see historic price movements going further. Analytics from Coinglass highlights a total of 141.09 million liquidations among which 37.08 million liquidations were long. However, the progressive longs hint at a bull rally ahead.

At present most of the altcoins are oversold and plotting a bullish setup ahead of the crucial last week of the year. Interesting analytics revealed by Santiment has been creating a lot of media buzz across the crypto town. Whenever the market experience extreme shorts, usually cryptos rally very hard post the same. 

The statistics presented further reports, generally, bear markets crop up whenever traders go for long positions. On the contrary, the market takes a leap of bullish divergence in the case of extreme short positions. With extreme shorts of over 73% in the last 24 hours, most of the altcoins are already taking space by storm.  

A crypto proponent Ash WSB is optimistic of historic alt season if Bitcoin breaches above $53k. On Tuesday, the flagship asset has experienced a clear break out at $46.249k rising by 6.11% round the clock. Whilst it is trading close to $50k, the next couple of days would play a decisive role with regards to the alt season. 

Collectively, a prolonged correction might be at its final phase, hence bullish divergence looks imminent in the next couple of days. As a whole, the global market cap might surpass the $3 trillion mark in the upcoming bull cycle, as it has been generating consequent lower highs. Whilst social media is filled with hashtags of alt season, altcoins such as HNT, HOT, ONE, RUNE, and GRT are up by 21.62%, 16.22%, 15.73%, 14.96%, and 13.72% round the clock respectively.
