Switching to Bitcoin won’t do anything to make others less controlling. It is not the path to salvation for capitalistic societies. Governments will always, ALWAYS print money in some form or fashion. And regular people will always rely on some form of government.

Printing money is not inherently bad. It allows for more wealth to circulate. What we need to address is unfair disparities in wealth distribution. Those who are creating wealth are not being adequately compensated. Bitcoin cannot help with that.

Bitcoin is good for buying drugs, or at least used to be, anonymously. That is probably the extent of its usefulness. I’m sorry, but Bitcoin is not the financial messiah. If you step back and really look at it, it’s an absurd difficult-to-use expensive-to-use electricity-guzzling currency and those who buy its propoganda are only doing so because they buy it for the sole purpose (usually) of earning wealth.

As someone who had to use Bitcoin as a currency to buy drugs (because only Bitcoin was accepted), it sucked as a currency. It was difficult to use and ridiculously expensive per transaction. Being a currency is its primary function and no currency should cost 1-50$ per transaction (like it has fluctuated the last 3 years). Thats insanity. Willingness to accept this as acceptable is insanity and delusion.

Yes, it’s trying hard. It’s improving. But people rarely use it because it’s inconvenient and expensive. People buy it to get rich. If that becomes its only major function then it will definitely fail given time. Take a step back and really look at this stuff for what it is, with a neutral eye. Falling off a cliff with a horde of like-minded people is still falling off a cliff.
