Withdrawing coins from Binance

With growing interest in crypto and DeFi space, there are more Binance and Metamask users than ever. The number of times people move their money between their Binance account and Metamask wallets are growing rapidly. Today, we are going to see how we can transfer our coins from our Binance account to our Metamask wallet.

If you want to transfer coins from Binance, that is the same as withdrawing from there. This means we will log into our Binance account and start a withdrawing process. On the homepage click on the “wallet” and then the “overview” buttons.

When you are redirected to the Overview page, you will see the page with your total estimated balance. On the right top of that, you will see the Deposit and the Withdraw buttons. Since we are taking money out of Binance, we will click on the withdraw one.

When you reach the withdrawal page, at the top, the first thing that you need to enter is the coin selection. Click on the red highlighted area with the coin name to open up the whole coin selection list.

When you see the list, all of the coins on Binance sorted by the amount you have will be listed at the top and the rest will be listed in Alphabetical order. Either pick from the list, or you can pick something from the search bar by typing the name of the coin you want to withdraw.

The next step is writing down the address. However, we do not have the address of our Metamask wallet yet, do we? So we need to open up our Metamask wallet and get our address from there first before we can continue with Binance withdrawal.

Where is my MetaMask address?

When you open your Metamask, you will face this screen. At the very top, it will show you which network you are seeing. The address is usually the same with every single one, so you do not have to worry about changing but making sure you are on the same network helps. The part highlighted in the red rectangle is your address. Click on the copying icon next to it and you are ready to go back to Binance.

Last part of the Binance withdrawal

Now that we have our Metamask wallet address, we can go back to the Binance tab on our browser and finish off.

After picking the coin, and pasting the address, we have picked the network. Since we are sending it to Metamask, we need to be very careful where we are sending it. Metamask could be customized to add in many different networks from ERC20 to BEP20 to Matic and many many others. So which network you are on at Metamask matters right here. Pick the same network in both of them to be able to receive it at the right network.

It is also very important to pick a good network because if you pick an expensive and slow one, it will cost you more than some of the others. ERC20 is known to be expensive whereas BEP20 used to be very cheap but growing slowly, on the other hand, Matic is nearly free.

In the last box, you need to fill in the amount. Write down how much you want to send and then click the big “withdraw” button.

When you finished filling out the information, now comes the filling out the security codes part. You need to click on the “click to get the code” buttons if you are using e-mail or SMS verifications. It will be sent to you and you can copy-paste them into the boxes.

After that, you will need to open up your phone and open the google 2FA authenticator app. Write down the verification code from there and you are ready. Click on the “submit” button and you can finish the withdrawal.

When will I receive my coin?

Networks are the decider here. If you want to make sure you get it quickly without spending too much money then you need to pick a faster and cheaper network. However, sometimes we are just “forced” to use a slower one like ERC20 because that is what we need, and in that case, we can’t just change it, so it will take a bit longer. In the end, nothing should take longer than 15 to 30 minutes, but consider it as 1 hour just in case.

How much is the withdrawal fee at Binance?

Binance is a huge corporation, so they do not need to charge too much for withdrawal considering how many people use it. For some things, they are by far the market leader whereas for some of them they use their userbase numbers as an advantage and spike the fee a bit higher. You can find the fee structure and how much it costs for your preferred coin here.
