A successful Falcon 9 launch occurred on March 19, which was the company’s 12th overall in 2022. In addition, there have been many SpaceX flights this year devoted to the installation of Starlink satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO).

On March 19, the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida launched 53 Starlink satellites from orbit. In LEO, there are 2,282 Starlink satellites, of which 2,033 are presently operating, according to Space.com. However, astronomers and NASA have expressed alarm about SpaceX’s estimated ability to launch 12,000 satellites and plans to launch 30,000 more. Recently, Elon Musk tweeted that with various performance and repair enhancements, the team is aiming for a 5-day launch cadence.
