One of the greatest and most rare parts of the DIGITALAX protocol stack is the fact that each deployment, feature and component of the ecosystem is designed to advance web3 through each interval of interaction within itself.

In other words, factorial combinators of the principles of web3 that scale through greater use — self sovereignty, decentralisation and open access.

Extending the advance of decentralisation through capital, culture, technology and every other layer of the systems that we inhabit finds one of its most powerful mechanisms in the form of CC0.

And, despite how comfortable we’ve become in recent decades with limitations on creativity and obstacles to the free flowing success of creators from all corners of society, it is also incompatible with creative freedom when there is a clearly better alternative that already exists today. Copyright was always an illusion of a trade off between an unreliable promise of a little bit of payment in exchange for most of our freedom. Now, with web3, NFTs, DAOs, and similar mechanisms that integrate the decentralization of capital, culture, and creativity, we are all free to create and prosper from it without being stuck with the devil’s bargain offered by those who insist on content control.

• What does this mean for the community, ecosystem and protocol moving forward?

When this change goes fully live, which will take some number of weeks, it means that all content sold and released through our marketplaces, platform and other web3 native channels that receive direct and extensive personal production, time and support will all be cc0. Any exceptions to this will be actively noted with its reasons why.

If you have content that you have minted through DIGITALAX already and are wondering what it means for you, it will not affect retroactive content. However, after going into full effect anything you choose to mint or release with us will be automatically fully cc0. Further, any engineering deployments i.e. custom realm interfaces, will only receive DIGITALAX time, attention, resources and support for those realms, spaces and experiences that are fully

This interval is a great time to dive deeper into why cc0 is so powerful and position yourself to gain the most from this feature enhancement and for those that for any reason ultimately decide that cc0, a full embrace of web3 principles and a truly open metaverse aren’t for them either now or some point in the future, I mean, I am not going to tell you that I think that it is a smart move, but, that’s up to you, and reinforces one of the core principles of self-sovereignty.
