“Top Gun: Maverick” star Jennifer Connelly and her husband, fellow actor Paul Bettany, have slashed the price of their Tribeca penthouse loft.
The Manhattan condo, listed for $12 million in May, is now available for a still very expensive $10.8 million. But a potential sale will likely deliver a significant profit to the couple, who paid just under $7 million in 2008.
The bright and airy four-bedroom home overlooking the Hudson River offers 4,000 square feet of living space.
Laid-back loft
A standout feature is the double-height chef’s kitchen with abundant windows and high-end appliances.
The interiors are modern and include walls of windows, skylights, and a library. There’s also a private rooftop terrace.
The peaceful retreat seems designed for relaxation. You can enjoy views of the river in the stylish living room, or take in a book by the wood-burning stove in the library.
The library also features a wall-to-wall, built-in bookshelf to display your tomes, or perhaps an Academy Award?
Earlier this year, the couple sold their Prospect Park home in Brooklyn for $11.7 million. It represented a small loss for the couple, who bought the seven-bedroom home in 2015 for $12.4 million.
The 6,232-square-foot house is tucked inside a limestone mansion that was built in 1899 and features luxury details like “stained-glass windows, mahogany columns, herringbone floors, delicately carved mantels, and five working gas fireplaces,” according to the listing.
