Fresh off a Super Bowl victory, Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay has purchased a winning Hidden Hills home.
McVay paid just over $14 million for the brand-new contemporary farmhouse and displayed some off-field negotiating skills. The property had been on the market since early January for $15.5 million.
The Rams leader is just the latest arrival in this guard-gated enclave popular with celebrities such as Sylvester Stallone and Madonna.
Designed by Jae Omar, the six-bedroom home sits at the end of a private drive. The double-height entrance is dramatic, and details include white oak flooring, floating stairs, and disappearing walls of glass.
The 9,000-square-foot floor plan features formal living and dining rooms, a chef’s kitchen with a stone island, and an adjacent family room and bar.
The impressive primary suite features a vaulted ceiling, fireplace, breakfast bar, resort-style bath, and private balcony.
Upscale amenities include a home theater, gym, dual marble-and-glass wine walls, and an office that opens to the outdoors.
Outside, the 1.42-acre lot boasts an infinity pool with a spa, a fire pit, a built-in barbecue, a four-car garage, and a motor court.
“The home was designed by combining pure elements for a timeless and balanced facade … ultimately leading to a pulse-pounding signature entryway and a widened pathway to the expansive views,” says designer Jae Omar in a statement.
The “farmhouse style is trending across Los Angeles,” adds Omar. “Farmhouses, at their roots, are simple, minimalist, and accessible. When reinterpreting the farmhouse style, I’m not looking to pile on special effects. Instead, I’m looking to remove things like physical barriers and unnecessary obstructions. What’s left is quality, purity, and purpose.”
McVay became the youngest head coach in NFL history when he was hired by the Rams in 2017. Now, at 36, he’s also the youngest coach to win the Super Bowl. He had previously purchased a modern home in Encino, CA, in 2017 for $2.7 million.
Tomer Fridman with Compass represented the seller. Joshua Altman with Douglas Elliman represented the buyer.
