Nationwide Building Society today announces its commitment and investment in its Wakefield-based teams by renovating and modernising its offices at the Paragon Business Village.
The reimagined site will continue Nationwide’s plans to redesign their office spaces with hybrid working in mind. With the current office area not being fully utilised, Nationwide will reduce its work space to focus on hybrid working. The new layout will give colleagues areas where they can collaborate with one another as well as facilities for hotdesking and breakout areas.
Nationwide’s Wakefield admin centre houses colleagues covering a variety of customer service roles. From digital customer care to telephony support, colleagues are now being encouraged to think about the work they need to achieve and consider where it’s best to do that, whether that is in an office, home, a branch or a mix of all of these.
With its 350 colleagues now working in a variety of locations and requiring more modern office facilities, Nationwide is working with the teams to understand how to refurbish the offices to best meet the new demands. The new hub will also be available for all of the Society’s colleagues to use should they need or want access to the modernised facilities.
Work to renovate Nationwide’s office at the Paragon Business Village will begin in the next few weeks with colleagues staying on site and works looking to be complete from mid-March.
Mandy Beech, Member Experience Director at Nationwide Building Society said: “We are delighted to be able to announce we are renovating our facilities for our Wakefield-based colleagues. We will be working closely with the teams to ensure the new space best supports our new ways of working; offering choice of collaboration space, hotdesking and breakout areas. Wakefield remains a really important location for us with vital customer service teams working out of this office and we look forward to seeing the new improved space.”
