Sber has launched an open referral program to fill Java developers’ vacancies in Moscow, St. Petersburg, and Novosibirsk.
Those recommending candidates will be able to receive RUB 80,000 if the latter pass a probation period in the company.
The partner of the project is Rabota.ru, which designed a referrals page to aggregate recommendations that will be forwarded to the employer.
Anyone who has experienced Java developers among their friends can take part in the program. Candidates for vacancies should be aware of the recommendation and be ready to consider offers from the company. It is also important that applicants should not have been considered for Sber vacancies in the last six months. IT recruiters can also participate in the referral program as those who recommend specialists. If a specialist seeks to work with Sber on a project basis, check the box “I am a recruiter” when sending data to the program website.
The main requirements that Java coders must meet are: Middle or Senior level and commercial development experience exceeding two years.
Ekaterina Malkova, head of Sber’s IT Recruitment Center:
“We have been successfully attracting candidates for a long time with the help of an in-house referral program, in which employees refer their friends and receive a reward for this. In 2022, we have decided to expand this approach and give absolutely anyone the opportunity to recommend their friends for Sber vacancies. For us, this is a new source of attraction, and for those who recommend specialists, it is a good way to get additional income.”
Alexander Veterkov, deputy CEO, Rabota.ru:
“According to our data, 44% of Russians think that friends and relatives are the most convenient and tried-and-true way to find a job. At the same time, an innovative approach such as external referral programs for finding candidates is just beginning to develop in Russia. Sber is one of the first among banks and large IT companies to use this new recruitment tool. We are confident that it will prove effective for recruiting IT professionals.”
