We all strive to achieve some kind of order in our pantry, whether that means decanting flour into a jar or lining up cans so that their labels face out. This level of neatness is understandable.

But, when you’re Khloé Kardashian—with an unlimited budget and a reputation for being the most organized member of her family—you can redefine what it means to have a stocked pantry.

This week, we got a peek inside Kardashian’s far-from-humble pantry, thanks to an Instagram post from The Home Edit, a home organization company that has worked on spaces for numerous celebrity clients including Reese Witherspoon, Eva Longoria, and Neil Patrick Harris.

Kardashian has worked with The Home Edit on other areas of her house, but this pantry takes it to a whole new level of tidiness. There are shelves of lazy Susans filled with multiple kinds of salad dressing, hot sauce, and peanut butter. Dry spaghetti is artfully displayed in glass jars.

Don’t you dare let the cookies and the crackers intermingle in the same basket! If at first glance you thought this space was some bougie grocery store, you’re not alone.

There’s no doubt Kardashian’s pantry is a display of her extravagant way of life. After you get past the rotating tray of four huge jars of pickles, feast on the fact that the bins, baskets, and jars were custom-stained to match the shelves and flooring.

The Kardashians will always find a way to live in luxury. But whether Khloé’s picture-perfect pantry makes you roll your eyes or shout #PantryGoals, there are a few tips to be gleaned from this temple of tidiness.

Here’s how to translate all the ideas for organizing that this huge pantry offers into your “normal” home.

Use baskets and bins to make sure everything is visible

Bins and baskets make it a breeze to find what you need.

Being able to see what you have is a smart way to save on food waste, says Kara Harms, the design mind at Whimsy Soul.

“Most of us too easily forget about things we bought, because they’re hiding in the back of the pantry,” she says.

Use bins and baskets to hold similar grocery items (all the chips in one bin, all the sweets in another).

Harms also loves that team from The Home Edit went one step further and took small packages out of larger ones, lining things up in little crates.

“This is a smart move, as it makes the pantry look elevated, instead of cluttered,” she says.

But can a regular person keep up with the labeling and decanting?

Maybe, but it’ll be a huge chore. Katie McCann, a professional organizer at Haven, says that without a staff to help, “a typical person will have trouble maintaining a similar space.”

To make labeling the baskets in your pantry a realistic task, start with major categories like chips, crackers, sweets, and nuts.

Decant your baking ingredients and keep measuring cups close by

Another highlight of Kardashian’s pantry is the display of dispensers filled with sugar, flour, and other baking ingredients. Each of these nifty canisters has its own measuring cup underneath, so Kardashian doesn’t have to rummage around in her kitchen drawers when she craves a homemade pie.

Fun fact: each of these glass dispensers cost a whopping $130. But to achieve a similar look and function in your own pantry, Amy Bly of Great Impressions Home Staging suggests decanting your flour into plastic containers and keeping a small bin with an extra set of measuring cups right next to them.

Use practical placement

According to Harms, most of the prime real estate in this pantry isn’t used to its full advantage.

“The middle shelf is the easiest to access, but it looks to be filled with pickles, peanut butter, and pasta—the snack items would work better here,” she says.

For folks who like to graze, the crackers and nuts should be at eye level, and your back stock of pickles probably doesn’t need to be front and center.

McCann feels the shelving could be closer together, too.

“They’re so far spaced that you’re losing room, but if they were closer, you’d have more storage opportunities,” she says.

Preserve freshness with jars

Each type of cookie gets its own jar.

Look, we initially thought taking cookies out of their bags and arranging them in glass jars was a ridiculous—and unsanitary—idea. But, cookies are actually more likely to keep fresh for longer in jars, so this is a bright idea you can (and should) incorporate into your pantry.

What does seem unnecessary are the separate jars for what’s essentially the same type of cookie. One has more chocolate chips than the other—perhaps that’s a big whoop for some people.

Jar the chocolate, leave the sprinkles

This my, friends, is confection overload.

One of The Home Edit’s signature moves is emptying pantry goods out of their original packaging and into containers. This makes sense for baking chocolate and chocolate chips that come in bags that can be annoying to store. Grab some glass canisters ($33, Amazon) and get to pouring.

But we have to question the logic of emptying a jar of sprinkles into another jar. We imagine that someone like Kardashian would say a shelf of mismatched, store-bought sprinkle jars looks messy.

That’s why she chose to rejar her sprinkles into sleek, labeled glass jars. But these nice-looking jars don’t have shaker lids, which is arguably the most convenient part of a store-bought jar! If someone can explain this to us, we’re all ears.
